America got it right

April 30th, 2008 | Category: Entertainment, Random Thoughts

On today’s American Idol, the vote was actually accurate.  However, I feel like Brooke White should have gone home 2 or 3 weeks ago.  I think Michael Johns and Carly Smithson are better than Brooke.  I think that the two best finalists are both Davids, and they are David Cook and David Archuleta. My favorite would have to be David Cook. I think that David Cook will be the most successful artist, and be able to sell more albums.

One reason I do not like Obama

April 28th, 2008 | Category: Politics, Random Thoughts

The Obama supporters are pretty retarded! But that’s no surprise. Yes, the Pastor is retired, and Obama wants us to believe he doesn’t agree with these hateful rants. The point that I am trying to make is, that this was Obama’s Pastor, a hateful racists who is anti-American. If Obama didn’t like this man’s views he wouldn’t have been a faithful follower of that church!  I have been told to watch this video clip from Rev Jeremiah Wright, who is Obama’s Pastor, and I finally did.  I thought I would make it available to you.

Obama said that this man was his spiritual advisor, mentor, and role model. He is as much a nut job as Farrakhan, and I have to believe Obama is pretty much in the same boat. He (Obama) has gone to this wacko’s church for over a decade and listened to this drivel and must have approved of it in some sense or he would have left (like anyone with any sense). People always compare Obama to Kennedy because of his charisma – well, Hitler was charismatic too. And the more we see of the real Obama and not the crafted image, the less Kennedyesque he looks.

Pick No. 12 — Ryan Clady, Boise State

April 26th, 2008 | Category: Sports

I really wanted to watch the NFL Draft today, but I had to work and do not have cable.  So today at work at around 1:30, I had my boss to see if Ryan Clady had been drafted.  She called her husband, who said that Ryan Clady was drafted by the Denver Broncos with pick #12 in the first-round.  I had predicted that he would probably be going to Denver, because of their need for an Offensive Tackle. Also, I had thought that there was a bit of a chance for him to go higher, like pick #5 to Kansas City Chiefs.  But this is pretty cool, because this is for sure the highest that a Boise State Bronco has ever been picked. And with this first-round pick, he definitely has some guaranteed money.

NFL Draft

April 24th, 2008 | Category: Sports

I am not a huge professional football fan, but I am a really big college football fan. I am a die-hard Boise State Broncos fan. It is interesting to know that this weekend, we will probably have a Bronco drafted at the highest pick ever. That person being Ryan Clady.  I had heard some very small rumors that he could go to Miami, however those rumors were only from 1 or 2 sources.  I was reading today online at the Idaho Statesman, an article by Brian Murphy, stating that Miami has “agreed to terms with Michigan left tackle Jake Long. They agreed to a $57.5 million deal.”

I am pretty excited, just knowing that Clady will most likely go in the first round. The reason he will most likely go in the first round, is because he is one of the top tackles available in the draft; since Jake Long is gone, then he is the next best candidate. The article continued saying that his agent Pat Dye Jr. expects him to be “selected between No. 5 (Kansas City) and No. 12 (Denver). Baltimore (No. 8), Carolina (No. 13) and Chicago (No. 14) are possibilities.”

American Popularity Contest

April 23rd, 2008 | Category: Entertainment, Random Thoughts

One of my favorite shows is American Idon on Fox.  Which is currently in Season 7 and for the most part the bottom three have been pretty accurate every week.  The bottom three are usually pretty close to the three which I thought had the worst performances. However, this week was a little different.  I thought the 2 worst performances were Jason Castro and Syesha Mercado.  The person sent home this week was Carly, which was way surprising.  This week really turned out to be moreof a popularity contest, than a basis of talent.

I am not a democrat, but I saw a bumper sticker that was pretty funny.

“Democrats are Sexy. Whoever thought of a good piece of elephant.”

New Fads

April 22nd, 2008 | Category: Random Thoughts

I have a couple new things that I really enjoy.  Well, I really enjoy a lot of things, but I have found new interest in some new things.  The first hobby that I have just started getting into is blogging.  I never really got into it before, because I truly hate myspace.  I was browsing Michael Cox’s blog, and came across wordpress; which is a “software” package of sorts that lets you blog.  I truly love it, because I can just put down random thoughts.  Blogging is a very fun past time, and I recommend it to anyone.

My other new interest is on a website called Blubet. This website is pretty fun because it gives you a way to “bet” against friends, and even people that you have never met.  There are hundreds of different questions that you can bet on.  The best thing about blubet, is that is is absolutely free.

Here is a list of helpful hints to get you started:

  • BluBucks have no monetary value. They do have entertainment value and allow you to track your winnings against the winnings of your friends and others. Be the first Blu-Gazillionaire!
  • Refer a friend and earn 500 BluBucks per sign up.
  • When you win a bet you earn more BluBucks! A bet’s pot is split evenly among the winners.
  • You will be reminded of bets to settle, but if you fail to settle the bets you created, then you will lose your original bet (“ante”) as well as 1,500 BluBucks (a “penalty”).
  • No more BluBucks? No problem. When you run out of BluBucks, your account will return to 10,000 BluBucks, but the record of the bust stays on your profile.

Some good news

April 17th, 2008 | Category: Family

We got some rather good news today.  We had already submitted a claim to our insurance, and they had already paid the claim.  Krissie called the Boise Police to see if the officer had an update on the accident. The officer called her back and said that they found the responsible person involved in the wreck. Then she said that it was a DUI, and that they had insurance.  However, she was not actually “responsible”, otherwise she would not have left the scene of the accident.

I was way excited about this new. Next, I called my insurance company and was told that I might have to pay the deductible up front; then, after American Family takes the claim, I will be reimbursed by my insurance company. The only problem, is that the American Family claims rep is out of town until the 23rd.

Eventful week

April 12th, 2008 | Category: Family

Yesterday started out to be a very good day. I was getting ready for bed since it was 11 at night and Krissie was almost done with work.  Krissie called me at about 11:45 pm yesterday and told me that she was on her way home.

At about midnight, she called me to tell me that she was in an accident.  At the moment, the only thing that I could think of was “Oh my word, I hope she is okay.” I went down the block, which is normally a drive of less that 5 minutes, but felt like eternity.  She was alright, but the truck was a little bit torn up.  I was a little bit mad, because even thought it was not her fault it ended up being a hit and run, so I have to submit a claim against my own insurance.

Exciting Day

April 04th, 2008 | Category: Church, Family

I took my lunch break at work today around 2:30pm. I went downstairs to the cafeteria, but called my wife while I headed that direction. Krissie, her Mother, and Grandmother were on the way home from Billings, Montana. While I was talking to her, she seemed very happy and the trip seemed to be going very well.

At the same time, I just had this feeling that something was not right.  I felt like something was happening, and I just could not put my finger on it.  I had no clue what was happening.  I had not sat down for 5 minutes when I got a text message from Krissie, saying that her Grandma’s house was on fire.  I then threw my food in the trash, because at this point I was no longer hungry; then i went to Nampa to check things out.  We were lucky, because the fire did not go past the garage.
