Carl Edwards
I am a pretty big nascar fan. I am not a “fan” of Carl Edwards. However, I do enjoy watching him. Sunday’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway was an exception. I didn’t watch the race, but I watched some clips afterwards. There was one incident where I think Carl Edwards needs to be fined, or suspended or even both for what he did.

No commentsCarcassonne
Most of you do not know this, but I am a big fan of the game called Carcassonne. I will not go into a whole lot of detail about how the game it played, or about what goes on during the game. For that, you can go to the Website for Carcassonne. I have all the “large” expansions, and most of the smaller expansions. I am excited, because this year, they are coming out with 2 more expansions. There is a “large” expansion coming out called “Bridges, Castles & Baazars“. Then there is also a “small” expansion coming out called “Crop Circle & Tunnels”, this one is actually a combination of two mini expansions. But anyway, I am most excited for the “Bridges, Castles, & Baazars”, because I love all of the Large expansions.
No commentsFrustration
I work for a hotel, as I have mentioned in previous posts. One of my biggest frustrations, is with the way they do updates. The “main” updates are usually designed to add some functionality to the property management system that we use. However, it seems almost every time that they have to roll out a new update to fix something that they broke with the “main” update

Music
I like all kinds of music. Most recently, I have come across an interest in Blues. I have always knew it existed, but I just never got into very much. However, back on June 8, 2009, The Insomniacs, came and played at Jo’s Sunshine Lounge in Boise, Idaho. At this point, I became hooked on Blues Music. Tonight was another great Blues Musician that played. His name is Samuel James, and he is from Portland, Maine. I could not find his website, so Sorry. But anyway, he is awesome.
No commentsNetbook
I have not posted for quite some time, and I don’t really have a good reason.
However, here I go with a new post. I have been debating over the last couple of days and even weeks about whether to get a new Netbook computer. For those of you who don’t know what a Netbook is, I found a definition on Wikipedia.
“A netbook (a combination of the words Internet and notebook) is a class of laptop computer designed for wireless communication and access to the Internet.
Primarily designed for web browsing and e-mailing, netbooks rely heavily on the Internet for remote access to web-based applications” and are targeted increasingly at cloud computing users who require a less powerful client computer. Netbooks typically run either Linux or Windows XP operating systems rather than more resource-intensive operating systems like Windows Vista. The devices range in size from below 5 inches to over 13, typically weigh 2 to 3 pounds (~1 kg) and are often significantly cheaper than general purpose laptops.”
Anyway, I have been doing some research, and I really want to get a netbook. I have been debating back and forth between a couple of different models. The two final choices are either the Acer Aspire One, or the MSI Wind. I am having the hardest time trying to make up my mind. If anyone has any suggestions, then please leave a comment and let me know.
1 commentHell’s Kitchen
My wife just wrote a little blog about Hell’s Kitchen, which happens to be my new favorite show now that American Idol is over.
Hell’s Kitchen is a US Television phenomenon as renowned chef Gordon Ramsay puts aspiring chefs through a very rigorous culinary boot-camp.
World-renowned chef GORDON RAMSAY is back for a fourth course of the sizzling unscripted series HELL’S KITCHEN. Wannabe restaurateurs slice and dice their way through each episode, vying for Ramsay’s attention in hopes of winning a life-changing culinary prize.
The “steaks” are higher than ever — the winner of the competition will earn a coveted senior chef position at Ramsay’s new restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.
The kitchen gets hotter each week as Ramsay puts on the pressure, demanding absolute perfection. Frazzled chefs try to slice and dice their way to the top, as they vie for Chef Ramsay’s approval. The competition is more intense than ever. With more contestants and more dinner services, Gordon’s sharp-tongue and flared-temper is sure to cause some major meltdowns in the kitchen.
Season Three of HELL’S KITCHEN, in which Rock Harper won the coveted title of Head Chef of a new fine Italian restaurant at the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, outpaced the previous season in ratings.

Mountain Man
Since I currently do not have a job, I was able to go with my Mom and Step-Dad to the Cache Valley Rendezvous. We left on Thursday the 22nd of May, and got back today the 26th of May. It was a blast even though it did rain some of the time. While you are at your own campsite, you don’t really do anything special, but when you go into the “town”, you dress up like a “Mountain Man”.
The first day that we went into town, I did not have anything, so I had to borrow a shirt that looked like a mountain man shirt from my Step-Dad, and I also borrowed a hat. I have some stuff ready now so that I will be somewhat ready for the next rendezvous, because when we went into the town, I bought a felt hat, a leather strand and some beads.
Kim, my Step-Dad, gave me his old belt. Then after we got back to camp, he had some rawhide that he used to make me a bag to hold my Fire Starter kit. I of course do not have everything for a full mountain man outfit, but I will buy something new each time I go. There are a couple rendezvous that my parents go to; one of them is in Cache Valley, Utah, and the other is in Bridger, Wyoming.
I had tons of fun, and can’t wait for the next one. Cache Valley is usually on Memorial Day weekend, and I think we will skip that one next year so that we can save up for the one in Bridger. It doesn’t really cost very much to camp there, the expensive part is the gas to get there.
I will post some pictures, once I get them uploaded off my camera.
No commentsDavid Cook
I was pretty happy tonight. David Cook is the new American Idol. From the very beginning of the season, I knew that David Cook would be the winner. I also predicted the finale would be both of the David’s. I was right on both accounts. I think Archuleta was good, and had a awesome sound, but I just don’t think that he would have been as successful as David Cook. The reason I think Cook is so much of a better choice, because throughout the season, He was able to adapt himself to just about every type of music.
I am definitly a fan, and will purchase his CD when it comes out.
No commentsAmerican Loser
Once again, the person that left American Idol tonight, was just who I thought it would be. Last night’s performances were pretty good. Each of the four finalists chose 2 songs. Three out of the four finalists had at least one decent song. Jason Castro, however, did not. Both of his songs were terrible choices. Jason’s first choice was, “I Shot the Sheriff”. Simon thought that his first performance was atrocious. His second song choice was, Mr. Tambourine Man, which he forgot a whole line of lyrics. After his second song, Simon Cowell told him to pack his bags. I don’t know how the heck Jason has made it all the way to the Top 4. There were some finalists that were voted off earlier in the season, that should have made it farther than Jason.
