New Job
It has been some time since I have last posted. Actually, it has been some time since I have been in my regular schedule of blogging.
Today, I started my new job. I don’t really even know my job title, but I am mainly the assistant to a bookkeeper for a local hotel. I also do other things when needed, such as: helping with any kind of maintenance, checking customers in, and any other task that they may need me for.
This job is something that I have been searching for over the last 2 ½ months. It just about fell in my lap…

No commentsPolygamy and Gays
Yesterday, I was watching a Television show where they were talking with some of the people involved in polygamy. Experts say that there are anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 people living in some type of plural marriage family. Oprah did an interview with one of the families. She was talking to each of the 3 wives, and none of them acted like it was any kind of big deal. Between the 3 of them there are 23 people in the house, including the 3 wives, the 1 husband, and all the children. I know at one time, that this was something the we believed in, only because it was a commandment given to the brethren at that time.
But the things they were being said on the Oprah Winfrey Show, frustrated me so bad, that I had to blog about it and get some frustrations out.
2 commentsNo More Global Warming
Normally in June there is not any snow. However, as I speak, there is quite a bit of snow in Northern Idaho, and there is also snow with periods of whiteouts in Dead Man’s Pass near Pendleton, Oregon. This phenomenon kind of also backs up one of my beliefs.
My belief is that I think Global Warning is one of the biggest pieces of cow manure that there is. I don’t believe that this whole “man-made climate change” is really true. I think that global warming is officially over and done with. The movie done by Al Gore called “An Inconvenient Truth” was actually full of lies and should have been called “A Very Convenient Lie”.
Back to what I mentioned earlier, about the snow in June, I think that now people will start talking about how we are in a “Global Cooling.” Over the last ten years, the temperature has been going down every year. And as far as Global Warming is concerned, I have not been able to find any kind of agreement in the scientific community that there is any kind of man-made climate change.
1 commentHell’s Kitchen
My wife just wrote a little blog about Hell’s Kitchen, which happens to be my new favorite show now that American Idol is over.
Hell’s Kitchen is a US Television phenomenon as renowned chef Gordon Ramsay puts aspiring chefs through a very rigorous culinary boot-camp.
World-renowned chef GORDON RAMSAY is back for a fourth course of the sizzling unscripted series HELL’S KITCHEN. Wannabe restaurateurs slice and dice their way through each episode, vying for Ramsay’s attention in hopes of winning a life-changing culinary prize.
The “steaks” are higher than ever — the winner of the competition will earn a coveted senior chef position at Ramsay’s new restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.
The kitchen gets hotter each week as Ramsay puts on the pressure, demanding absolute perfection. Frazzled chefs try to slice and dice their way to the top, as they vie for Chef Ramsay’s approval. The competition is more intense than ever. With more contestants and more dinner services, Gordon’s sharp-tongue and flared-temper is sure to cause some major meltdowns in the kitchen.
Season Three of HELL’S KITCHEN, in which Rock Harper won the coveted title of Head Chef of a new fine Italian restaurant at the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, outpaced the previous season in ratings.

No commentsA Billion Dollars
The next time you hear a politician use the word ‘billion’ in a casual manner, think about whether you want the ‘politicians’ spending your tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of it’s releases.
- A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
- A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
- A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
- A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
- A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.

1 commentDavid Cook
I was pretty happy tonight. David Cook is the new American Idol. From the very beginning of the season, I knew that David Cook would be the winner. I also predicted the finale would be both of the David’s. I was right on both accounts. I think Archuleta was good, and had a awesome sound, but I just don’t think that he would have been as successful as David Cook. The reason I think Cook is so much of a better choice, because throughout the season, He was able to adapt himself to just about every type of music.
I am definitly a fan, and will purchase his CD when it comes out.
No commentsFavoritism Part 2
Last week, I wrote about how I disliked favoritism in the workplace. Well, now I have to continue on with that. I lost my job the next day, due to termination. I think that favoritism had to do with this. I had an experience over 6 months ago, where things went bad. I was pulled into the manager’s office, and was told not to let it happen again. So, I continued with the daily duties of my job, and didn’t let anything happen. When I was taken into the manager’s office, they played a called where a guy called in a started swearing, and yelling. I asked him to keep it professional, he continued to yell. The call was dropped or disconnected some how. The manager thought that I hung up on the guy, so she fired me.
However, I don’t think that I was fired for that. I think deep down inside the reason that I was fired was because I was not meeting the sales goals. One thing about that company is, that if you are not meeting goal, then they don’t really care about you. You are only cared about if you are making goals. The whole time that I was there, I never felt like I was given any kind of “Thanks” or “Hey, Good Job”. The only people that got that were either at goal, or above goal.
